The new BMW M3 CS has a distinct personality, unique design components, and the capacity to offer radiant sensations thanks to a revised chassis, reduced weight, and increased power. As a result, the BMW M3 Sedan can provide an exceptional driving experience without sacrificing functionality or everyday usability.
The new BMW M3 CS engine is identifiable from the BMW M4 CSL, which was released in 2022, and is based on the engine found in the BMW M4 GT3 competition version. In addition to 40 hp more power than the BMW M3 Sedan Competition, the driver of the BMW M3 CS is greeted by a substantially quicker engine response and power delivery. The maximum power is 550 horsepower, with a torque of 650 Nm. The M Driver's Package, which is standard in the BMW M3 CS, allows for a 3.4-second acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 302 km/h.
The sophisticated all-wheel drive system M-xDrive enhances the power delivery and driving experience of the new BMW M3 CS. The driver can activate the 2WD mode with pure rear-wheel drive by switching from the usual 4WD setting to 4WD Sport mode, which transfers a greater proportion of the engine's torque to the rear wheels via the M-Setup menu. An even more intense drive is provided for expert drivers by delivering the drive just to the rear wheels and turning off DSC (Dynamic Stability Control).
The new BMW M3 CS's chassis setup has been fine-tuned based on engine characteristics, overall vehicle design, and weight distribution. The DSC system and M Dynamic Mode model-specific parameters have also been modified to the special requirements of active driving. Wheel settings, shock absorbers, and anti-roll bars are automotive components designed to improve driving characteristics. The electrically adjustable dampers of the adaptive M suspension and the M Servotronic steering are model-specific.
Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) - both inside and out - helps to lower the weight of the new BMW M3 CS by 20 kg when compared to the BMW M3 Sedan Competition with M xDrive. For example, the roof, bonnet, front splitter, front air intake, wing mirrors, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler are all carbon fiber. The interior is standard with BMW M shell seats made of carbon fiber, which helps reduce weight in the passenger compartment. The heated electronically adjustable seats are enjoyable for everyday use while keeping the driver in place during more active driving. The titanium rear muffler simultaneously decreases the weight of the exhaust system by 4 kg while also contributing to a more enjoyable driving experience through an irresistible engine sound.
Several distinct design elements give the new BMW M3 CS its own personality. The exterior color Frozen Solid White metallic is unique to the BMW M3 CS, but it is also available in Signal Green solid, Brooklyn Gray metallic, and Sapphire black metallic. BMW Laser lights in a yellow glow are standard equipment and assist in giving the car its sharp front character, together with a grill explicitly built for the model.
The BMW M3 CS comes standard with M light-alloy wheels, a distinctive V-spoke design, and a golden bronze finish (19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear). These come with specifically created track-optimized tires (cup 2) (275/35 ZR19 front and 285/30 ZR20 rear), but they can also be obtained with standard high-performance tires for free.
M Compound brakes with red or black calipers are standard equipment. M Carbon brakes in matt gold or red are also available.
The new BMW M3 CS features the most recent operating system, BMW Operating System 8, and the BMW Curved Display, which is familiar with the upgraded BMW 3 series. The operating system incorporates a BMW M view with engine, chassis, steering, brake system, and M xDrive configuration options. The M Drive Professional system comes standard as well. As a result, the car benefits from the M Drift Analyzer and M Laptimer, which analyze and record skill and performance on the track, and from M Traction Control, which provides optimal conditions for pushing the car to the next level on the race track.
Beginning in March 2023, the new BMW M3 CS will be produced in limited quantities at the BMW Group's factory in Munich. Prices start at $150,400, and the automobile is currently available for order.
