Hyundai's i-series has always been a popular choice among European drivers due to its practicality and reliability. The new Hyundai i10 takes this a step further by offering advanced connectivity features, comfort elements, and technologies typically found in larger segments, making it even more competitive in its class.
One of the standout features of the new i10 is its upgraded design. The model has a sportier stance and conveys a bolder feel thanks to its low roof and long wheelbase. The new i10 also comes in nine exterior colors, two of which are new: Lumen Grey, a light gray color with a pearl effect, and Meta Blue, which features blue-violet color reflections, a pearl effect, and a black two-tone roof.
Inside, the new Hyundai i10 offers blue mood lights in the front seats and a Purple Package that adds a sense of playfulness to the car's sporty exterior. The interior features tartan fabric seats with vertical purple lines, along with purple detailing in the stitching and air vents. Gray touchpoints with purple gloss visible on the instrument panel and center console give an extra sense of style.
The Hyundai i10 N Line is the sportier version of the model, featuring design details inspired by motorsport, including specially designed bumpers, inserts, and red details. The seat backs have fabric with a triple red line, and the model is launched with new 16-inch alloy wheels.
In addition to its stylish design, the new Hyundai i10 offers advanced connectivity features, making it technologically advanced and creating a more comfortable in-car experience. The model includes a 4.2-inch LCD instrumentation as standard, USB Type-C front and rear, second-generation eCall based on the 4G network, and Over The Air (OTA) map updates. The model also features an 8-inch Audio Video Navigation (AVN) screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless mobile charger, and the latest update to Bluelink telematics services.
Safety is a top priority in the new i10, and the model includes more safety features from Hyundai SmartSense compared to before. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) for "City," "Interurban," and "Pedestrian" has also been extended to include "Cyclist." FCA helps detect and avoid potential accidents with obstacles ahead. Lane Following Assist (LFA) uses the steering to keep the car in the current lane. Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) reminds the driver via a message in the cluster if the rear door has been opened during the journey – to prevent someone or something from being left behind in the back seat.
The new Hyundai i10 remains a practical choice for European drivers, offering a load capacity of 252 liters with the seats up and 1,050 liters with the seats down, a two-stage luggage rack, one-hand folding of the rear seat, and a reversing camera. The model is equipped with electrically retractable side mirrors and has a production start date of April 2023 at Hyundai's factory in Izmit, Turkey. The first cars are expected to roll along Swedish roads in the second half of the year.
Overall, the new i10 is an exciting addition to Hyundai's i-series, offering a dynamic style, advanced connectivity features, uncompromising accessibility, and comfort. With its upgraded design and advanced safety features, the i10 is sure to be a popular choice among European drivers looking for a practical and reliable car with a touch of sportiness.
