Robert Zander will take over as CEO of DHL Freight in the Nordics and Baltics on November 1, 2022. He will succeed current CEO Pekka Stenqvist, who will retire at the end of the year. Robert will continue to serve as CEO of DHL Freight in Sweden.
Robert Zander started his career at DHL Freight in 2016 as CFO for the Nordics and Baltics. He had worked in transportation and logistics for many years, holding high managerial positions and postings in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Robert has effectively led DHL Freight in Sweden through a challenging time with Covid, high inflation, conflict in Ukraine, and other issues in our surrounding globe during his tenure as CEO. Organization, strategy, and profitability have all received a lot of attention. At the same time, the corporation has grown on various levels, including substantial terminal expansions and significant efforts toward sustainability. DHL's environmental work is a top priority, and recent efforts to minimize emissions have been quite successful.
"I accepted the trust to lead DHL Freight in the Nordics and Baltics to new heights with pride and great respect. With the consumer in mind, it is my job to foster employee engagement so that we may provide the best possible service. I am humbled by the assignment while looking forward to the extra responsibilities," Robert Zander comments.
Robert will now be a member of DHL Freight's Global Management and will report to Uwe Brinks, CEO of DHL Freight.
