The Nissan ARIYA is one of the most anticipated electric vehicles of 2023, promising to offer a sleek design, advanced technology, and impressive range. But now, Nissan has announced that it will also offer two new versions of the ARIYA: a more affordable entry-level model and a more powerful performance model.
The Entry-Level Nissan ARIYA
The entry-level Nissan ARIYA will have a starting price of $40,000 (converted from 349,900 SEK), making it one of the most affordable electric SUVs on the market. It will have a single electric motor driving the front wheels, producing 160 kW (215 horsepower) and 300 Nm (221 pound-feet) of torque. It will also have a 63 kWh battery pack, giving it an estimated range of 360 km (224 miles) on the WLTP cycle.
The entry-level ARIYA will come with a standard 7.4 kW onboard charger for home charging, as well as a 130 kW DC fast-charging capability for public charging stations. It will also feature Nissan’s e-Pedal system, which allows the driver to accelerate and decelerate using only one pedal, as well as Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist 2.0 system, which enables hands-off driving on highways.
The entry-level ARIYA will have a spacious and minimalist interior, with a dual-screen dashboard, a flat floor, and a sliding center console. It will also have a generous cargo capacity of 468 liters (16.5 cubic feet), which can be expanded to 1,379 liters (48.7 cubic feet) by folding the rear seats.
The Performance Nissan ARIYA
The performance Nissan ARIYA will have a starting price of $58,000 (converted from 509,900 SEK), making it one of the most powerful electric SUVs on the market. It will have a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing 290 kW (389 horsepower) and 600 Nm (443 pound-feet) of torque. It will also have an 87 kWh battery pack, giving it an estimated range of 460 km (286 miles) on the WLTP cycle.
The performance ARIYA will come with a standard 22 kW onboard charger for home charging, as well as a 130 kW DC fast-charging capability for public charging stations. It will also feature Nissan’s e-4ORCE system, which optimizes the torque distribution between the front and rear wheels, enhancing the handling and stability of the vehicle. It will also feature Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist 2.0 system, which enables hands-off driving on highways.
The performance ARIYA will have a sporty and luxurious interior, with a dual-screen dashboard, a flat floor, and a sliding center console. It will also have a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, ambient lighting, and a Bose premium sound system. It will also have a generous cargo capacity of 466 liters (16.4 cubic feet), which can be expanded to 1,377 liters (48.6 cubic feet) by folding the rear seats.
