The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck will arrive in 2024

The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck will arrive in 2024

At CES 2023, Ram showed off its Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck concept, which gives a glimpse into the future and shows how the top pickup truck brand will continue to change its segment. The ground-breaking Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept has features that have never been seen before. These features will be seen in Ram trucks in the future, especially as Ram moves toward electric vehicles.

Ram will set itself apart by offering a portfolio of fully electric solutions to meet customer needs better. For example, in 2024, a Ram 1500 Revolution will change the segment by being the first fully electric pickup truck. For many years, the Ram lineup will offer electric solutions with innovative, cutting-edge technology. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is the first step in figuring out how the Ram will be better than competitors' EVs in the future.

Mike Koval Jr., CEO of the Ram brand, said, "The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is the clearest sign yet that we are at the start of something special at Ram." It also shows exactly where we are going on our electrified journey. "At Ram, we've changed what pickup trucks can be, and we'll do it again by making the best electric pickup trucks on the market, which are better than our competitors offer."

The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is an essential part of Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan to lead the way the world moves by providing innovative, clean, safe, and affordable mobility solutions.

"The Ram Revolution is important for the Ram brand in many ways," said Koval. "The new Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is the key to our electric future." But the Ram Revolution is also our way of thinking as we change the pickup segment with a steady stream of ads and projects as we start our journey toward electric vehicles.

Ram Trucks is committed to innovation and leadership in powertrains, and its lineup has everything pickup truck buyers want and need to meet real-world needs. Today, Ram has the most fuel-efficient 4x4 options in the segment and makes the world's fastest and most powerful production truck.

In 2024, when the Ram 1500 BEV goes into production, it will again change the way trucks are made. It will be the best at several things that customers care about most: range, towing, payload, and charge time. In the coming months, there will be more news about the version used in the real world.

The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept gives a great idea of what the best pickup truck of the future will look like. Ram's exterior design team wanted to change how pickup trucks are made by coming up with a very modern idea that looks strong and heroic, stays true to its purpose, and is good for the environment.

The exterior of the Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck is brutal and beautiful simultaneously. The Ram's new front end has LED headlights that look like tuning forks and a "RAM" logo that moves and looks more modern. The doors have been redesigned to look like the entrance to a saloon. Without the B-pillars, the space inside is vast. The taillights and badge have LEDs that move. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept builds on Ram's reputation as the best off-road and performance pickup truck brand in North America. It has an integrated front design with a new steel chest and tow hooks that can be leveled.

Innovative features are carefully built in, like a brand-new front trunk that opens automatically and gives you more space and storage. The tailgate, recessed door handles, side steps, and rear step with an active diffuser are all powered by electricity. The left front fender also has a battery charging port.

The side view mirrors on the concept are revolutionary because they are smaller, lighter, and made of 3D-printed materials. This makes them better for aerodynamics and reduces drag. The mirrors use a digital camera to take pictures of the area around the truck, which lets the image be shrunk.

When the filler neck is being charged, it lights up and flashes. It will beep to show that it is connected and the process has begun. Alternating current (AC) levels 1 and 2 can charge the mouthpiece's upper half, while the direct current (DC) can be used for fast charging in the lower half.

The Ram's power tailgate, which can be used for different things, and the larger RamBox are two signature design features that increase capacity. The bold hourglass shape of the bodywork and wheel wells makes room for the 35-inch tires that have been redesigned uniquely. The 1500 Revolution BEV concept has a self-leveling suspension and non-moving 24-inch wheels with lit centers.

The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck has these new dimensions because it is built on the innovative STLA Frame EV platform. The design team moved the cab forward and made it longer by adding smart new safety systems and smaller, more powerful electric motors. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept cabin is ten horsepower longer than the cabin of the current equivalent truck, giving it more space and comfort. The length of the bed, on the other hand, stays the same.

The rearview mirror uses cutting-edge technology to make driving safer and more convenient. The rearview mirror is much smaller than traditional mirrors but works just as well. It has many high-tech features, such as an intelligent rearview camera with 360° views, speakers, and receivers that work with voice assistants like Alexa and Siri. When the truck is in reverse, the camera uses images from other cameras around the truck to give the driver a 360° view of digital screens inside the truck. This makes it easier for the driver to see what's going on around them, which can help them avoid accidents and stay safer, especially when maneuvering with a trailer hitched to their car. The mirror also has an extra light for reversing that makes it easier to see, which is especially helpful when it's dark outside. In addition to the camera for reversing, the rearview mirror talks to biometric cameras that watch the truck's surroundings as it gets closer to things.

Sustainability was a big focus when making the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept. As a result, the interior is full of unique and clever materials. Some examples are the "Greyslate Nanostone" finish, which is durable and light, and "Apple" leather, which is a byproduct of the apple industry and is not made by hurting animals. The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck also has the floor made of recycled rubber and cork pieces that give it a unique texture and make it more durable and valuable.

The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept shows how cutting-edge technology, a fully connected customer experience, and advanced mobility features can give hard-working people confidence every day, no matter where they work.

The Ram 1500 Revolution concept has seamless connectivity that changes the driver and passenger experience. The idea is to make a connected hub that brings the consumer's digital lifestyle into the car. This is done by using advanced technology to create a personalized space for each passenger.

The Ram 1500 Revolution electric pickup truck has four-wheel drive and is powered by two Electric Transmission Modules (EDMs) in the front and back of the vehicle. This makes the most of the space inside and makes it possible to have a big trunk up front. The Ram 1500 BEV concept was made to fit EDMs with more power and could be used in the future for high-performance applications.

With fast charging at up to 350 kW and 800 V DC, the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept can add up to 160 km of range in about 10 minutes. The Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept is based on the company's new STLA Frame platform. It has a body-over-chassis design that makes good use of the battery.
