Leasys and Free2move merge to create a new European mobility leader

Leasys and Free2move Lease, two leading players in the mobility sector, have announced their merger to create a new multi-brand operating leasing company. The new entity will be operational in 11 countries, boasting a fleet of over 828,000 vehicles, and will work with all Stellantis brands in a multi-brand approach. With this new corporate organization, the mission is to become the European leader in mobility services, with a target of one million vehicles in the fleet by 2026.

The new management team was recently announced, and Richard Bouligny will serve as the new President of the NewCo. At the same time, Rolando D'Arco will assume the CEO role, to whom Arnaud de Lamothe and Antoine Delautre will report as Commercial Deputy CEO and Finance Deputy CEO, respectively.

Richard Bouligny, a Paris School of Business graduate with a Master's in Finance, has an extensive background in the mobility sector, having held positions of increasing responsibility in RCI Bank and Services group, Renault Retail Group, and the Renault Group in Europe. He joined Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance in April 2020 as the Group Deputy CEO-Automotive and Mobility. Rolando D'Arco, on the other hand, has been the CEO of Leasys SpA since December 2021. With a degree in Economics and Business from the LUISS University of Rome and an MBA program at STOA, he has had an extensive career in the long-term rental sector, working in Italy and abroad in the area of Financial Services and Mobility.

Arnaud de Lamothe, currently leading Free2move Lease, has a corporate and tax law background, holding an MBA from the Institut Supérieur de Management. He joined Groupe PSA in 1995 and held various roles of increasing responsibility in the Citroen commercial department and later in the Citroën European division. Antoine Delautre, with over 20 years of experience, began his career at Crédit Agricole CIB and later held various positions within the Renault Group. From 2018 to 2019, he was VP of Accounting and Performance Control of RCI.

Leasys and Free2move

The merger between Leasys and Free2move Lease is a strategic move that is expected to have a significant impact on the mobility industry. The two companies combined expertise will allow the new company to offer a wider range of services, including long-term rentals, fleet management, and new mobility solutions, such as car-sharing, electric vehicles, and more.

The new company aims to become the European leader in mobility services by 2026. Still, with the experience and expertise of the new management team, it is an achievable target. The merger is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, but the companies expect to finalize the deal in the first half of 2023.

This is an exciting time for the mobility industry, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for this new mobility company.
