Lufthansa Cargo shows up at Fruit Logistica in Berlin

Lufthansa Cargo

This year's Fruit Logistica will be held in Berlin from February 8 to 10. Lufthansa Cargo will again have a booth there. This year is the 30th anniversary of the leading international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable business. It is seen as a place for all players in the fruit and vegetable business, as well as those who help shape the value chain from the producer to the retailer, to meet.

Lufthansa Cargo has always been good at quickly and reliably shipping temperature-sensitive goods like agar, fish, and meat worldwide. So, the cargo airline makes a big difference in ensuring that products get to their destinations in great shape. Fresh fruits and vegetables that are available all year round are in high demand all over the world. The last few years of the pandemic have shown how vital globalization is becoming in the export and import business, even for goods that go bad quickly. Lufthansa Cargo moved more than 52,000 tons of flowers, vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, and other goods that went bad rapidly last year.

Whether it's strange fruits and vegetables or freshly caught fish and seafood from faraway places where they grow and fish: When moving these highly sought-after goods, speed, strict hygiene rules, and temperature-sensitive containers with individually adjustable cooling options are what matter. This way, the products can be carefully packed and sent on their way without losing any of their quality. The goal is to keep the time between harvesting or catching, loading, transport by freighter, and further transport from the centrally located European hub in Frankfurt to the destination as short as possible while maintaining the cold chain in the best way possible for the goods.

Carolin Gerstenmaier, who works for Lufthansa Cargo as Head of Industry Development and Leisure Sales, said: "Lufthansa Cargo has worked with temperature-sensitive and perishable goods for a long time and is known worldwide for its expertise in this area. The Perishables to Door service offers direct delivery from Europe's best food markets through the Frankfurt hub."

"With its Perishables product, Lufthansa Cargo is in a good position to ship goods that need to be moved quickly. Lufthansa Cargo is a reliable and experienced partner for the agricultural and food industries. With our hub in Frankfurt, the Perishable Center with fast and vacuum cooling facilities, and the best place to distribute goods in Europe, Lufthansa Cargo is a great place to do business," Christian Tippmann, who is in charge of Product, Speed, and Service Offer at Lufthansa Cargo adds to this.

Lufthansa Cargo has been showing at Fruit Logistica for ten years. Those interested are welcome to stop by booth C06 in hall 25. Many airfreight experts can't wait to discuss current issues and trends with trade fair visitors. @via Fruit Logistica.
