Lamborghini is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2023 with a series of events and activities around the world, showcasing its heritage and innovation in the automotive industry. One of the most remarkable creations that Lamborghini has unveiled for this occasion is the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica. This one-of-a-kind special edition combines off-road performance and stunning aesthetics.
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica is based on the Huracan Sterrato, a concept car that was introduced in 2019 as an off-road version of the Huracan Evo. The Huracan Sterrato features a 5.2-liter V10 engine that delivers 640 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 199 mph. The car also has a raised suspension, larger tires, skid plates, LED light bars, and a rear wing to enhance its off-road capabilities.
A Crystal-Blue Masterpiece
What makes the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica stand out from the regular Sterrato is its extraordinary paint job, which took 370 hours to complete. The car's exterior is covered with a crystal-effect paint that mimics the frozen liquid of the sea, inspired by the blue of Sardinia, where the car was unveiled in August 2023. The paint process involved three different shades of blue: Blu Amnis, Blu Grifo, and Blu Fedra. The solid Blu Amnis was applied first, followed by two hand-painted treatments using the other two colors. The result is a dazzling and dynamic visual effect that changes depending on the angle and the light.
The crystal-effect paint is also used on some interior elements, such as the start/stop switch cover and the special edition plate that reads “Opera Unica Porto Cervo 2023”. The rest of the cabin is upholstered in fine Blu Delphinus leather and blue-dyed Alcantara, with contrasting details in Celeste Phoebe leather. The sports seats, door panels, and center console are all adorned with the Lamborghini logo and stitching.
A Rare and Valuable Collector’s Item
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica was presented at an exclusive dinner at the Cala di Volpe Hotel in Porto Cervo, where it was placed on a floating platform on the seashore. The car mesmerized the 120 guests in attendance with its unique and striking beauty. After its debut, the car was displayed at the Lamborghini Lounge in Porto Cervo until September 10th.
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica is a perfect symbol of the passion and artistry of Lamborghini. It combines prestige and technical mastery to create a true work of art on four wheels. It is also a rare and valuable collector’s item, as it is one of the 1,499 Huracan Sterratos that will ever be built. The price and owner of this automotive gem have not been disclosed, but it is safe to assume that they are both astronomical.
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica is a car that will make anyone’s jaw drop. It is a testament to Lamborghini’s dedication to innovation and excellence and its respect for its heritage and history. It is a car that celebrates 60 years of making dreams come true.
