The MINI brand is known for its iconic design, agile handling, and fun-to-drive character. But what if you want more space, more power, and more versatility? Enter the new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman, the MINI lineup's largest and most powerful model. This crossover combines the sporty performance of a John Cooper Works model with the spaciousness and practicality of a Countryman. It’s the perfect choice for drivers who want to enjoy the best of both worlds.
What’s New for 2024?
The new MINI John Cooper Works Countryman is based on the redesigned MINI Countryman, which debuted in September at the 2023 Munich auto show. The new Countryman is larger, more refined, and more technologically advanced than the previous generation. It also offers two electrified variants: the Countryman E with 188 horsepower and the Countryman SE with 308 horsepower.
However, the new Mini John Cooper Works Countryman sticks with a gasoline engine for now. The same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine powered the outgoing model but with a slight increase in output. It now delivers 312 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful engine ever offered in a MINI. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, which enable the crossover to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph.
