The success of Jeep and, in particular, its 4xe technology has been proven again in the past year. The brand has once again taken the lead in the Italian "on tap" market, which includes Battery Electric Vehicles and Plug-In Hybrids, with a share of 16.3% among all LEV models, which is up 5 percentage points from last year.
In 2022, Jeep's share of the LEV market was consistently above 15%, with peaks above 20%. This means that one out of every five Italian drivers in the low-emissions market chose a Jeep 4xe SUV. This success is due to the "made in Italy" Jeep Compass 4xe and Jeep Renegade 4xe SUVs, which are the best-selling plug-in cars in Italy in their respective segments, as well as the Jeep Wrangler, which is the symbol of the brand and will soon be joined by the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, the first Plug-In Hybrid version of the fifth generation of the most awarded SUV ever.
The Jeep Compass, in particular, is the best C-SUV and has a 23% market share in the LEV passenger car market. Jeep Renegade comes in second and has a 52% share of the B-SUV market.
In line with its "Zero Emission Freedom" mission, the Jeep brand is already looking into new ways to predict consumer needs and future mobility. It recently announced a comprehensive plan for the next generation of all-electric vehicles as part of a sustainable transformation that will help it become the world's leading brand of electrified SUVs.
The first 100% electric Jeep SUV, the Avenger, made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. The Jeep Avenger 1st Edition is already available, and you can buy one here.
The program calls for releasing four all-electric SUVs in North America and Europe by the end of 2025. By 2030, 50% of Jeep sales in the U.S. will be full-electric cars, while 100% of Jeep sales in Europe will be full-electric cars. Stellantis's Dare Forward 2030 long-term strategic plan calls for carbon dioxide emissions to be net-zero by 2030. This plan backs up that goal in every way.
